Who are we?
The Cheshire Friendship Homes Foundation is a private not for
profit entity whose purpose is to help people suffering from
severe physical disabilities and who due to a variety of circumstances cannot remain in their family environment.
“The aim and purpose of the Foundation is to help the disabled and senior citizens in the ways specified
by the Board of Trustees in each particular case.
Consequently, and as its main activity, it will maintain centres for the disabled, third age residences and
specialist care centres for the training, occupation and out-patient or day care of the people referred to above.”
(From Article 3 of the Statutes; Aim and Purpose).
The fundamental premises which guide the Foundation's activities are that users should view the residences as their own homes
together with helping them to achieve their life expectations.
Although it operates independently, it is nevertheless associated
with the international The
Leonard Cheshire Foundation. which has a presence in 50 countries and approximately 350 homes.
